The fight against the Way, the Truth and the Life

The fight against the Way, the Truth and the Life

When Jesus Christ came to Earth, His mission was to restore the broken relationship between humanity and God, enabling an intimate bond between the Father and His children. Through His sacrifice, He made this possible for all who believe, calling us to a lifestyle of worship in spirit and truth. This worship aligns our actions with our faith, growing us toward spiritual maturity. As we mature, we receive greater authority and anointing to continue Jesus’ work until His return.

Jesus’ Ministry and the Kingdom’s Threat

Jesus began His ministry with a call to repentance, heralding the nearness of God’s Kingdom, embodied in His presence. Where Jesus, the King, appears, God’s light exposes all darkness, posing a direct threat to Satan, his fallen angels, and demons. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and His presence dismantles the enemy’s hold.

The Way

Jesus is the Way to the Father, not merely to heaven (John 4:23-24). Through worship and faith in Him, the anointing flows, fostering a personal relationship with God. He declared, “No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Without the Way, access to the Father is blocked, making Jesus central to our faith (Revelation 1:8).

The Truth

Truth is a Person—Jesus Christ (John 14:6, John 1:1-5). Found in Scripture and the Holy Spirit’s guidance, the Word of God is essential for spiritual growth. Our love for the Word reflects our love for God, making time in Scripture and prayer vital for every Christian.

The Life

Embracing the Way and the Truth cultivates the Life within us through repentance and surrender. Sin leads to death (Romans 6:23), but by following Jesus—through relationship, worship, and His Word—He transforms us, empowering us to live as He did. When we surrender to Jesus, He dwells in us, bringing the Kingdom of God into our hearts, making us a target in Satan’s eyes.

The Spiritual Battle

Satan despises the light, holiness, humility, and anointing of Christ in us. As Ephesians 6:12 states:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

To counter this threat, Satan deploys evil spirits, notably the spirits of Jezebel and Ahab, to sever Christians’ connection with the Father and extinguish the Holy Spirit’s fire.

The Spirits of Jezebel and Ahab

The spirits of Jezebel and Ahab are particularly insidious, tasked with infiltrating Christian lives to destroy the relationship with the Father and quench the anointing. Their primary targets are God-appointed leaders—pastors, apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and heads of families (husbands and fathers). These spirits aim to:

  • Block the Way: By disrupting the intimate relationship with the Father, they prevent God from imparting truth, anointing, and spiritual insight—elements Satan fears.

  • Suppress the Truth: They discourage engagement with Scripture and the Holy Spirit, hindering spiritual growth.

  • Stifle the Life: They foster sin and rebellion, opposing the transformative power of Christ’s life within us.

In the Netherlands, these spirits notably crushed an 18th-century revival, maintaining their influence to this day. Their success in churches worldwide is evident, as they target leaders to weaken the body of Christ, sowing division, compromise, and spiritual apathy.

Yet, through Jesus—the Way, the Truth, and the Life—believers are equipped to stand firm, resist these spirits, and advance God’s Kingdom with authority and anointing.
