God does not ask for partial trust. Not because He is harsh, but because He is good. He sees more than you see. He knows the paths that you cannot yet foresee. Trust is not pretending to understand everything; trust is knowing Who is leading you. Yet you can sound very spiritual and meanwhile rely entirely on your own understanding. You pray, but you’ve already made your decision. You ask for guidance, but you’ve already set the outcome. Trust begins where control must relinquish its throne.
