Make a Covenant With Your Eyes

I have made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?
Job 31:1 — Source: NKJV
Faithfulness requires conscious choices. Job speaks of a covenant with his eyes because he knew that lust often begins with looking. What you continue to look at is given space in your inner world. This applies to real encounters, social media, messages, photos, films, and everything that feeds your lust. You cannot keep looking and at the same time pretend that your heart will automatically remain pure. That is spiritual nonsense with a blindfold on. The question is simple: are your eyes allies of your faithfulness, or betrayers of your heart?

Proclamation

I make a covenant with my eyes. I do not look to feed lust. My eyes, my thoughts, and my desires belong to God.

Prayer

Father, cleanse my eyes. Give me strength to look away, to unplug, and to break with everything that feeds lust. Make my gaze pure and my heart faithful. Amen.
