Donation Policy of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries

Last updated: 12 July 2026

This donation policy describes how Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries handles donations and donors. We attach great importance to transparency, due care, financial integrity and the responsible use of the funds entrusted to us.

This policy applies to donations made through love-unlimited.org, love-unlimited.org, Donorbox, bank transfer or any other payment method designated by Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries.

Voluntary Nature of Donations

A donation to Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries is entirely voluntary. No direct product, service, privilege or other enforceable consideration is provided in return.

A donation is intended to support the statutory objectives, activities, projects and initiatives of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries. A donation does not grant the donor any ownership rights, voting rights, authority or special position within the foundation.

Donors cannot derive any right from their donation to influence the policies, substantive direction, religious beliefs, leadership, staffing, communications or use of other funds of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries.

Nor does a donation constitute a promise of personal guidance, spiritual attention, answered prayer, publicity, access to gatherings or any other personal benefit.

Use of General Donations

A donation to which no specific purpose is attached during the donation process is regarded as a general donation.

General donations may be used by the board for all activities that fall within the statutory objectives of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries. This may also include the necessary costs of organisation, administration, communication, technology, accommodation, fundraising, production and project implementation.

The board determines responsibly where general donations can be used most effectively and where they are most needed. The board accounts for this in the financial administration and in the designated public reporting.

Earmarked Donations

A donation may only be earmarked for a specific purpose when Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries has designated that purpose in advance as a separate project, fund, campaign or initiative.

An earmarked donation arises, for example, when a donor expressly selects a project offered by the foundation within Donorbox or when the foundation has confirmed in writing in advance that a donation will be accepted for a specific purpose.

A personal description entered in the payment reference field of a bank transfer does not automatically result in legally binding earmarking. In such a case, the board will assess whether the stated purpose falls within a previously designated objective and whether the donation can be accepted subject to that condition.

Earmarked funds are recorded separately in an identifiable manner and used exclusively for the purpose for which they were received.

Surplus Funds from an Earmarked Project

When more funds are received for an earmarked project than prove necessary during its original implementation, the remaining amount will remain available for that same project.

The amount may be used for a subsequent phase, expansion, aftercare, maintenance, evaluation or other expenditure directly and demonstrably related to the relevant project.

The board will not use earmarked funds for an entirely different project or for the foundation’s general operating costs as a matter of course.

When the original project has been fully completed and no further project-related expenditure is reasonably possible, the board will assess how the donors’ original intentions can be honoured. Where practically feasible, identifiable donors may be contacted and offered the choice between a refund or the allocation of the donation to a purpose that is as closely related as possible.

When a donor has donated anonymously, can no longer be contacted or when individual refunds are not reasonably feasible, the board may allocate the remaining amount exclusively to a purpose that corresponds as closely as possible to the original project. The board will record that decision and the reasons for it in writing.

A Project That Does Not Proceed

When an earmarked project is definitively unable to proceed, Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries will not use the funds received for that project for an arbitrary alternative purpose.

Identifiable donors will be informed insofar as this is reasonably possible. They may then choose between a refund or allocation to a closely related purpose proposed by the foundation.

When it is not possible to contact a donor, the donor has donated anonymously or a refund cannot be made for practical reasons, the board may use the donation for a purpose that is as substantively close as possible to the original purpose.

The board will record the chosen course of action, the amounts concerned and the reasons for its decision in the administration.

Conditions Attached to Donations

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries does not generally accept donations subject to conditions that restrict the foundation’s independence, religious identity, integrity, leadership or freedom to determine policy.

A donor may not impose conditions concerning board appointments, staffing decisions, substantive publications, spiritual teaching, cooperation partners or other governance or content-related decisions.

A large donation does not provide more influence than a small donation. The amount or frequency of a donation does not alter the governance independence of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries.

When a donor wishes to attach a specific condition to a donation, that condition must be submitted to the foundation in writing before payment is made. Such a condition is valid only when the board has expressly accepted it in writing in advance.

Refusing or Refunding Donations

The board reserves the right to refuse or refund a donation.

This may occur, among other circumstances, when unwanted conditions are attached to the donation, when the origin of the funds is insufficiently clear, when fraud or misuse may be involved, when the donation conflicts with the law, the articles of association, the mission or the values of the foundation, or when acceptance would create a disproportionate legal, financial, governance or reputational risk.

For large, unusual or potentially high-risk donations, the board may request additional information about the donor’s identity, the origin of the funds and the purpose of the donation.

The acceptance of a previous donation does not oblige Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries to accept future donations from the same donor.

When a donation is refused, it will, where possible, be refunded using the original payment method or to the bank account from which the payment originated.

No Consideration

No products, services, privileges or other economic consideration are attached to a donation.

When Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries does provide a product, admission ticket, advertising opportunity, promotional service or other specific consideration in exchange for a payment, that payment will not be treated as an ordinary donation. Separate sales, participation or sponsorship terms may apply.

A general expression of thanks, confirmation of receipt or periodic information about the foundation’s work is not regarded as consideration.

Expressions of Thanks and Public Acknowledgement

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries may thank donors personally or in general terms.

A donor’s name, donated amount and other personal data will not be made public without the donor’s prior explicit consent.

Consent to public acknowledgement does not give a donor any right to substantive influence, editorial control or a guarantee of continued publication. Consent previously given may be withdrawn for future publications.

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries may use anonymised information in its communications concerning the support it receives. In doing so, it will ensure that individual donors cannot be identified directly or indirectly.

Anonymous Donations

Donors may use the option provided by Donorbox to have their donation displayed anonymously.

Anonymity means that the donor’s name will not be made public or used in public communications.

Complete technical anonymity in relation to Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries, Donorbox, Stripe, the relevant bank or competent public authorities cannot always be guaranteed. Payment and administrative data may be necessary to process the payment, prevent fraud, issue a refund and comply with legal obligations.

Processing of Donor Data

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries processes donor data exclusively for legitimate purposes, including processing and administering donations, sending confirmations of receipt, answering questions, issuing refunds, preventing fraud, financial reporting and complying with legal obligations.

We use Donorbox for online donations. Payments are processed through Stripe. We use Exact Reeleezee for our financial administration. Bank transfers are processed by our bank. We use Microsoft 365 for email and cloud storage.

These service providers may process personal data insofar as this is necessary for their services, security, payment processing, administration and legal obligations.

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries does not sell or rent donor data and does not provide it to other organisations for their own fundraising or commercial marketing purposes.

Further information about the processing of personal data can be found in our privacy statement.

Communication with Donors

A donation does not automatically result in subscription to our teaching newsletter or other periodic marketing communications.

Separate consent is requested for the teaching newsletter. Donors may, however, receive necessary messages or messages directly related to their donation, such as a payment confirmation, an administrative question, information about an earmarked project or a notification concerning a refund.

When a donor has separately consented to receive the teaching newsletter, that consent may be withdrawn at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the email.

Donor Stories and Testimonials

A donation will not be used as a personal story, testimony or promotional example without consent.

When Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries mentions support received in general communications, this will generally be done without names, identifiable circumstances or individual amounts.

An identifiable story about a donor or donation will only be published after the prior, freely given and explicit consent of the person concerned.

Recurring Donations

A recurring donation may be cancelled for future payments using the options provided by Donorbox or by contacting Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries.

The cancellation of a recurring donation does not have retroactive effect. Payments that have already been lawfully processed will not automatically be refunded.

A cancellation request must be made as early as possible. When the next payment has already been initiated by the payment service provider, it may no longer be possible to prevent it from being processed.

Refunds

Donations are generally final and will not be refunded solely because a donor later changes their mind.

A refund may, however, be appropriate in the case of a duplicate payment, an incorrectly entered amount, an unauthorised payment, a technical or administrative error, a refused donation or an earmarked project that does not proceed.

Refund requests are assessed carefully and individually. Refunds are governed by the separate refund and cancellation policy of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries.

A refund will only be made to the original payer and through the original payment method or to the bank account from which the payment originated.

Tax Responsibility

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries may, upon request, provide a confirmation of receipt or a statement of donations received, insofar as the necessary information is available.

Such confirmation does not constitute tax advice and does not guarantee that a donation is tax-deductible. The tax treatment of a donation depends, among other things, on the foundation’s current status, the nature of the donation, the donor’s personal circumstances and the applicable tax regulations.

The donor remains responsible for filing an accurate tax return.

When a donation is refunded in full or in part, a previously issued confirmation may be corrected. The refunded portion can no longer be regarded as a donation.

Practical Payment Options

Donations may be made through the online donation platform Donorbox or by direct bank transfer to the bank account published by Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries.

Online payments through Donorbox are processed by Stripe.

All donations received are included in the central financial administration of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries and are used exclusively within the foundation’s statutory objectives and in accordance with any legally valid earmarking.

Governance Responsibility and Accountability

The board of Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries is responsible for the acceptance, administration, allocation and responsible use of donations.

Decisions concerning exceptional, large, conditional or potentially high-risk donations are made by the board and, where necessary, recorded in writing.

The foundation strives to maintain transparent financial records and accounts for its income and expenditure in accordance with its legal and statutory obligations.

Changes

Stichting LoveUnlimited Ministries may amend this donation policy when its activities, payment methods, projects or legal obligations change.

The most current version will be published on love-unlimited.org and love-unlimited.org. The date on which the policy was last updated is stated at the top.

Final Provision
